11月30日，国际计划参加了由中国学生营养与健康促进会主办的“改善我国农村地区儿童营养状况研讨会”。 来自卫生部、中国发展研究基金会、联合国儿童基金会、中国营养学会、北京大学公共卫生学院儿童青少年卫生研究所等政府机构、非政府组织和学术机构的70余名领导和专家参加会议，讨论了多种改善儿童营养的措施，为进一步改善我国农村儿童的营养状况提供了交流平台。 |

On the morning of November 18, 2008, the press conference of the contract signing ceremony of post-earthquake reconstruction project was held jointly by Plan China and Shaanxi Provincial Women's Federation. At the meeting, the project agreement was signed by Plan China, the Provincial Women's Federation and Han Zhong Municipal Women's Federation to clarify the responsibilities and duties of each party. After the signing ceremony, a check of 5,340,000 RMB was donated to Shaanxi Provincial and Han Zhong Municipal Women's Federation by Plan China. After the Wen Chuan earthquake occurred, plan China took action promptly. So far, more than 10 million RMB have been raised by Plan China for the disaster areas in Shaanxi Province. This time, the investment of 5,340,000 RMB by Plan China will be used for the reconstruction and repair of Guang Ping Middle School and Miao Ba Nine Year Compulsory School of Ning Qiang County, Da Ying Primary School and Hong Xing Primary school of Nan Zheng County. Mark Leighton, the country director of Plan China delivered a speech at the meeting and Mr. Xuan Yaoxuan, the Vice Secretary General of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Director of the Steering Committee of Projects of Plan China, Madame Liu Lige, Chair of the Shaanxi Provincial Women's Federation, the Chairwoman of the Han Zhong Women’s Federation, and representatives of the Ning Qiang and Nan Zhen governments attended this conference and delivered speech respectively. |
