Under the joint efforts of Plan China and Atlas, the water and sanitation projects were carried out in Long De County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, covering 10 administrative villages in four townships, and benefiting 15,187 people, of whom 3,708 were children. Long De County is located in the south of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with tough natural conditions. Many villages suffered from poor sanitary conditions and no access to safe drinking water. Water scarcity affected villagers’ health and was the big obstacle of the community development. Thus the projects would greatly improve local people's water and sanitation situation.

In 6 days’ (May 5^th to May 10^th) exhibition, Plan China has shown the world their public welfare activities and the achievements in China; while promoting itself, this display promoted its public, charitable spirit, to attract more cooperation with  enterprises who are of insight, and responsible, to contribute to public welfare activities in China's poor areas.
