On 30^th December 2010, the launching ceremony of Nursery Teachers Training Project donated by Target Company for preschool teachers in mountainous areas was held in An Jia Kindergarten of Gao Yang Township of Pu Cheng County. A group of visitors including leaders from the Target Company and Plan China, representatives of Pu Cheng Education Bureau, 30 nursery teachers and most of younger children of An Jia Kindergarten together with their parents attended the launching ceremony.

In the launching ceremony, Target Company subscribed funds of USD 50,000 through Plan China in order to support the Training project for rural nursery teachers in the two state poverty counties--Pu Cheng County and Xi Xiang County of Shaanxi Province. The Target Company group also donated bags and stationery to younger children and teachers, and joined in the interactive activities including the play of passing balloon with 180 younger children, which put the atmosphere to the climax. The Education Bureau of Pu Cheng County and An Jia Kindergarten provided visitors from Target Company with crystal glasses and hand painting on silk while the representatives of parents also sent delicate hand-made shoe-pads to them.

Dang Yanni, a nursery teacher of An Jia Kindergarten in Pu Cheng County, expressed that they would certainly cherish the opportunity of receiving training and study seriously so as to put the knowledge and skills they have learned and the care from Target Company and Plan China into the early childhood education and development in the poverty-stricken mountainous area.

The implementation of this project will enable over 180 nursery teachers from the two programme counties of Plan China to accept one-year professional training, after which they will obtain the degree of technical school education. It is expected that more than 10,000 younger children in the programme areas will benefit from this project.

Since the year of 2003, Target Company has assisted accumulatively funds of USD 210,000 and respectively developed programmes of teachers training, school building, support of books and teaching equipments, and construction of study center, etc.
