 2010年10月15日，时值第三个“全球洗手日”，由全国爱国卫生运动委员会、团中央、教育部和联合国儿童基金会等单位主办，国际计划、中国红十字会、儿童救助会以及舒肤佳家庭卫生研究所等机构协办的洗手日宣传活动在全国20多个省、市、自治区全面开展，今年活动的主题为“正确洗手，‘手’筑健康 ”，通过倡导正确洗手的健康行为，有效降低肠道传染疾病和呼吸道传染疾病的发病率。 |

During the session, with practical demonstrations of possible hidden dangers in winter, instructor Xi vividly introduced a series of fire fighting situations, such as how fire disasters occur, misunderstandings that can delay escaped opportunities in the fire, self-help methods to escape and different types of fire extinguishers and how to use them. He also conducted field practice. Teachers and students all actively took part in this fire-fighting exercise. The training made all teachers and students deeply aware of the importance of the general community knowing about fire fighting and fire safety.

On November 26th, Xixiang Program Unit (Xixiang PU) of Plan China wants to strengthen winter fire fighting work and teachers and students’ safety awareness. They invited instructor Xi and staff member Hou of Xixiang county fire battalion to hold a winter fire drill for all teachers and students of Liushu Primary School in the program area.
