9月4日，对受到汶川大地震重创的城固县垣山小学来说，是个重生的日子，因为这一天，由日本邮船集团出资、国际计划执行援建的教学楼举行了落成典礼，学生们将在全新的教学楼里上课。日本邮船集团中国区总代表伊藤隆夫、东亚管理部副总经理徐国强 ，国际计划日本资助国办公室项目官员Misao Ohashi，国际计划（中国）赠款与资助总监刘忠亮、西乡县办主任王少平，城固县相关领导参加了此次落成典礼。 |

“I think this activity is very useful, it has increased my knowledge on AIDS…” A citizen stated. From Dec 1st to 5th, Xixiang PU of Plan China, with the assistance of Health Bureaus of Xixiang and Chenggu County, conducted large scale activities to promote prevention and knowledge of AIDS in the 2 counties. These activities aimed to help citizens in the program area know about AIDS and enhance their prevention awareness. Staff of the 2 bureaus selected the thickly populated places such as the main business street, village fair, etc. to carry out the promotion. Information on preventing and treating AIDS was broadcast and the handbook of prevention of AIDS as well as condoms were given out to the people. In addition, relevant staff invited Xixiang County TV to develop a special program “Transmission and Prevention of AIDS” to make gigantic promotion throughout the counties. Meanwhile, they also advocated “Love your life to prevent AIDS”. During this period, the people were very positive about participating in the activities and asked the campaign staff questions about AIDS. which they warmly answered. These promotion activities enhanced people’s understanding on transmission, prevention and treatment of AIDS and strengthened their self-protection awareness.
