In December of 2008, Plan China formally signed Agreement on Chengdu Business Start-up Project of Young Migrant Women with Youth Employment and Business Service Center. Subsidized by RBS, this project offers perfect business consulting and guidance and business training to those young women migrant workers aging between 18 and 35, who live or work in Chengdu City and have the desire to start businesses with certain business starting experiences and supporters but lack business guidance and funds. This project will establish a Business Expert Team composed of the successful entrepreneurs of Chengdu city. Based on “One-to-One” tutor business instruction held once every month, they will try their utmost to answer questions from business-starters and serve them as a bridge in order to reduce their difficulties at the beginning of starting business and ensure the success of starting business at utmost. Meanwhile, this project will also set up professional social worker teams to offer multi-faceted services to the young women migrant workers who apply for a loan, by relying on the professional social worker teams from Chengdu Information Engineering College and other colleges and universities.
