| 宁夏儿童早期养育和发展初始项目签字仪式在宁夏举行 |
2011年3月，国际计划同红寺堡和盐池两区县的妇联、教育局共同对两区县进行了现场考察。考察发现，当地存在学前教育严重滞后、入学率低、儿童家庭贫困导致营养单一、幼儿园投入较大等问题。例如，在考察中发现，红寺堡区只有5所幼儿园经过了教育部门的认可，且全部为民办园，条件简陋，师资严重短缺，学前教育质量难以得到保证；学龄前儿童食物单一、缺乏营养，方便面、白米饭、土豆、素面条基本构成了贫困家庭学前儿童食物和营养的主要来源。 2011年5月10日，宁夏回族自治区人民政府外事（侨务）办公室和国际计划（中国）合作实施的“宁夏儿童早期养育和发展初始项目”签约仪式在宁夏回族自治区外事（侨务）办公室多功能厅举行。 |

From 15th to 17th May 2009, the Board of Directors and staff of the new Plan Hong Kong National Organisation (HKNO) visited Plan China. This was the first visit by HKNO to a Plan country programme. The main focus of the visit was to children, communities, partners and projects in the PuCheng Program Unit of Plan China’s Shaanxi Province programme zone. The visitors stayed overnight in the Plan supported village, WuJia Village. They visited projects in WuJia Village and YiLong Village, including micro-finance projects, a child-friendly school program, Rural Women Empowerment Project and community water and sanitation work. The visit was also accompanied by the National Executive Director of Plan Australia, Ian Wishart. During the very successful visit to Plan China, Plan Hong Kong Board of Directors, together with Plan China Country Director Mark Leighton discussed what everyone hoped to be a strong future relationship between HKNO and Plan China.
