PLAN CHINA SIGNING AGREEMENT OF EMERGENCY RELIEF WITH SICHUAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION On June 20th, 2008, Plan China signed Memorandum of Understanding on Disaster Relief for Wenchuan Earthquake with the Management Center of Foreign Funding Project of Sichuan provincial Poverty Alleviation Office. More… Plan China Distributed Emergency Relief goods to Xi Xiang County and Chenggu County Due to the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan province, the part villagers of Xixiang county and Chenggu county in Shaanxi province are homeless, and schools are damaged severely as a result of stopping having classes. After the earthquake happened, Plan China’ office in Xixiang county collected relevant information about disaster areas actively, and held a project guidance committee meeting in the shortest time and decided to provide emergency free relief of 400 tents and colorful plastic cloths of 300 bundles that would benefit over 5,300 people suffering from the earthquake. More… Cheng Gu Yuan Shan Primary School Inaugurated Reconstruction of Teaching Building Sought by Plan and NYKOn 4th September, 2009, the day which would never be forgotten, was seen as a landmark in the Yuan Shan Primary School’s history. The inauguration ceremony for the new teaching building was held in Yuan Shan Primary School. The teaching building project gained financial support from Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and was implemented under the supervision of Plan.
